A Love-Letter Fairytale Wedding at Calamigos Ranch by XO & Fetti Photography

Arielle and Jake met over burgers in their freshman dorm at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2018, and they were best friends before they fell in love. After a spontaneous proposal in a tiny Airbnb in Newport Beach, Jake proposed again in front of Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World on their fifth anniversary. They married in September at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, beneath an oak tree wrapped in fairy lights. Arielle's surname means "oak," and the tree was a tribute to her late father, who loved oak trees and acorns. Michelle of CMG Weddings & Events planned the day, Unique Floral Designs filled it with mauve, cream and sage blooms that looked as if they had grown in place, and Vanessa of XO & Fetti Photography photographed it, as featured on Magnolia Rouge.

Jake had been writing Arielle love letters since the beginning, so Still Waters Paperie designed the invitation suite to feel like one of them: handmade paper, calligraphy, Hebrew lettering celebrating their Jewish heritage and acorn motifs for Arielle's father. Each reception table was named after one of Jake's letters.

I love this flat lay. Vanessa of XO & Fetti Photography styled it and put it together so beautifully, layering the Still Waters Paperie suite, mauve and blush blooms and two of my linen Georgian Ovals, including the Georgian Oval in Traverse Bay Blue, on soft pink linen.

A romantic blush and sage stationery flat lay on a soft pink linen backdrop. The Still Waters Paperie suite is the star: a blind-letterpress invitation on handmade deckled paper, a blush RSVP, an aqua details card with an oak illustration, a calligraphed envelope with vintage stamps, a painted floral envelope liner and sage wax seals. Mauve lisianthus, blush anemones and green hellebores frame the paper, and two linen oval ring boxes hold the engagement ring and wedding band.
